There really isnt much more information to give. When I click the program my cursor turns in to the hour glas loading icon, but the Continuum will not open. The only response I ever get is when I try to shut down and an error message appears that says that it would not open because the computer is shutting down. This doesnt make sense because it will come up hours or days after I tried to open Continuum. And yes, I did re-install it but the problem still occurs.

Something is running that Continuum doesn't like.
Run a virus scan.
I recommend you get a handy tool called Pocket Killbox > http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/killbox.php
It will reveal to you hidden DLLs and Executables running. It also allows you to end each task with the click of a button.
Post a Hijack This log if te above fails.
Hijack This is also a handy tool and can make helping you with spyware easyier or the tech's end of the deal.
You ca get it here. > http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html
Continuum doesn't show while Spyware Doctor is installed.. This is common. I don' recommen hat software for spyware/adware removal. Get AdAware and/or Spybot Search and Destroy.
Spybot- http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
Adaware-http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/
Try the stuff above.
Mabye Im wrong. Im only human.

I get a message that says this every time I start up my computer---
Bagent.exe – Unable To Locate Component
This application has failed to start because IPROF32.dll was not found. Re-installing this program may fix this problem.
And a message like this every shutdown after opening up continuum
Continuum.exe – DLL Initialization Failed
This program could not initialize because windows in shutting down.
I have found this IPROF32.dll … could this be the problem, and what do I do with it?

Okay, Soda. What Operating System are you using? This can help. Post ASAP so that we can get to fixing your problem.
Also:
When doing virus scans and spy/adware scans, its best to do it in Safe Mode
Its more likely to be a virus, as Default said.
Info:
Go here to see what iprof32.dll is - >> http://web.intuit.com/support/quicken/2004/win/7202.html
Its not a virus as you can see.

Just put IPROF32.dll where Bangent.exe is.

Operating system? Like Windows-XP?
is that what you mean.
also I'm not sure if the startup message and the shutdown message are related. Its just the both have the extention .dll so I'm only assuming.
Whats Bangent anyway, does it have anything to do with continuum?
Solo Ace - Sun Nov 20, 2005 4:28 pm

Bangent is the spyware software used by Continuum to keep track of your ban information.

Personally I reccomend:
McAfee AV + Firewall
Ad-Aware
And for extra security:
Kaspersky AV
Spybot Search & Destroy

Donkano, you realize that list will hurt your computer more than help?
Bagent is apparently part of quicken. See if you can turn it off in the Quicken options.
Quan Chi2 - Sun Nov 20, 2005 7:28 pm

Soda, try what Cyan said. Then if that doesn't work, boot your system in safe mode and do Adware/spyware scans, and a virus scan. Post any logs that are saved, here.

I gots the shiny new 65 dollar Norton Anri-virus, I don't think I need any more than that. It says my computer is clean so...
Wait... quicken is a program for taxes or something, how can that anything to do with continuum? maybe thats not the problem.. Cuz' it seems to me re-installing a tax program isn't gonna do much for my situation. maybe I sould just remove it all together if it isinterfeering?
the computer says the DLL initslization fails, how do I fix continuums .dll files if IPROF32.dll isn't it?

What? you don't think I didn't try all that, i've done all of the stuff you'll told me.
But it doesn't matter to me that much anymore. I spent my entire weekend cleaning, re-installing and deleting files for this game.
It won't work, I'm done.
Thanks alot for all your help though
