Isn't there any way to get more than 4 freqs have custom spawn points (without a bot)? Tried adding Team4-X etc. but obviously they didn't work.

It is currently a hard coded limit inside Subgame, so you are unable to have more than four spawn points. Sorry.

A third party alternative to Subgame is called ASSS, which is open source, but more complex to run. If you know a little bit about programming, either in C or Python (not hard to learn this), you can easily make your own simple spawn-point algorithm and add it into this server. If you have problems running ASSS, feel free to post back here.

What is wrong with bots? Only reason I could think is if they died your screwed.

Well same with the server, obviously.

But if you think about it, you'll realize why asss is so much cooler. For one, modules allow a direct interface with the server instead of the roundabout way you have to do it with bots.

Why can't you just make a merv plugin? You specify wether or not the players freq = 4, 5, 6 ,7 etc.. then if it is then it warps them to another spawn point.. Drop dead ezAR..

Plugin: SpawnBot 2.0 [Jan. 20]
Download here
Purpose: Allows you to change the respawn area for different teams. (respawns *around* impassable tiles) Also adds "warp tiles" to your arena, enter one warp area, come out another.

Thanks for the replies.

Cyan pretty much described why I didn't want a bot for it. But since ASSS is out of the question (not my server) I added the functionality to my bot. Wasn't hard, but the result definately isn't as "clean" as it would be if the server handled it.
