i have the server running on port 8000 and the router is set up to have port 7999 thru 8001 open for the server as i read that somewhere before. so if thats what you mean then its been done, if not please explain this a lil more for me.. thx

Make sure the protocol is UDP, and there is no need for 7999.

ok i did a ipconfig from dos and found out that my router gives me a ip address and some how i found another ip for my comp.. even though there is only a ethernet card and nothing else, so now that i have switched over to udp instead of both i am going to try and see it the routers ip addy for my comp will fix it, if it does I will let ya'll know if not i will return again.

ok my server has been up for over 5 hours now and noones signed in.. i dont have access to a outside comp right now but i get the filling that the problem with people entering my zone is not cured. also i am getting a slow irteration warning now.. i didnt see anything in the FAQ or the search in this forum.. someone let me know about that too please

another update... been looking through my routers log files.. i see a big load of incoming ip's on the ports open for my server but noones getting in so i know for a fac there is something wrong with the routers side of my problem... gonna attemp to get linksys on the phone to fix this
