Well, my heart goes out to all those effect by quite possibly the largest natural disaster in many, many years. To be perfectly honest, though, I don't remember doing any of this...

many years? tsunami last year's got you beat

over 1000 people died in Iraq today too, but you can hardly find any news channel mentioning that

Well, human life these days is worthless. I'd rather have 5 billion dollars than 5 billion neighbors. I was speaking on the amount of damage done (as in net-monetary damage) any way.

Look at it this way, its gods way to kinda make more room more the new. If you look at it, if we dident have any "natural disasters" are world would become more and more populated.

Yes, because natural disasters like these do next to nothing to slow down population growth. The world's population was still growing overall when that hurricane rolled through.
