Post subject: Dragonball GT--->New and Improved SSCI Dragonball Z

Hello.
Im running a zone with The Namek and we have been doing very well with population in our zone. Im not here to brag or put down SSCI Dragonball Z..
Yea we know our faults but we did what we wanted to do and you can not stop us.

We are making a peacful version of SSCI Dragonball Z, pretty much.. The people in that zone changed for the worse and the zone hasn't been doing well.

We didn't even officially open the zone yet and we had 18 people max on at the same time. In my short time experience I know that that doesn't always last.. Mind you, this zone wasn't started for population. This was started to make a place where SSCI Dragonball Z veterans and newbies(no offense) could come to enjoy very similar SSCI Dragonball Z settings. So far it has been a success, though it isnt officially open.

Go to http://ssdbgt.tk/ (Im not paying for a webhost until we get stable population and everything is going very well. I don't think you would either..)

I have to agree with Purge+ on this 1, you are a bit nuts to make a banner that large.

MS Paint has a nice tool on it called: Strech/Skew, I think you need to be aquinted with it.

Hello everyone, Namek here. And I just wanted to say being a veteran in SSCI Dragonball Z, I got tired of the community, it went bad in a big way. I also noticed DBZ never really changed much, and the only staff member who ever hosted any events there latley was Snipe, so it got dull.

This zone isn't trying to rip off DBZ at all. It will be compltely DBGT in the end. We are simply using SOME of the map until we add all of our stuff then overwrite whats there. And for the record, Quan and Morph have reached an agreement on us using the map thats on there right now. So we are NOT ripping off DBZ.

We never even knew so many players would go there while we were working on the zone, therefore those faults we had (which would be gone within a week or so) which spread like a wildfire, were rumored all over dbz, and then it went on from there. I admit I messed up by using the map, I should have known a Themed Zone would draw attention. Theres no going back, but in the future when our zone is complete, judge it then, not the way it is now, that's all I ask.

Keep in mind the zone is under constuction, it's not even open. Sp please I ask you not to pass jusgement on us of what we are using at this time.
As Quan stated earlier, we simply want a better enviornment to play in. And I hope to see all of you there sometime.

I don't find it cool at all. And you are trying to rip off DBZ. Oh, did the owners give you permission to use the same borders and bases (1 of which, I made)? Morphing Sun++ would never give a stupid idiot like yourself, permission.

If anything, the settings aren't the even remotely the same as DBZs. Also, you aren't very good at your own game are you?

So far, I haven't seen any veterans there.

You are just angry because you are banned from SSC. And you got population? Haha, you just rounded up people you knew from DBZ and probably bribed them: "I'll give you moderator, OK?"

In that screenshot that The Apache2 posted, he has 5050 energy which according to that write up is way beyond any means.

Actually, you didn't. Why keep some bases? Why don't you create a whole new DBZ map? Most of the veterans that supposedly come to your zone don't like the current map; So, why don't you change it?

Once again, I am replying, it seems it has been long overdue. Let me start off with Purge+.

Purge+, well, what's there to say about you. Hmm... well you haven't really flamed yet, just gave advice technically. I'll leave it at that.

Newb, I'm not always flamed every time I come in DBZ. And thats not the
reason i'm pissed at all. In fact I have far more friends then enemys
in there, and it's sad that you can't see it. Half the people in DBZ
are all friends, so I got plenty of support, don't worry about that.

And you obviously have no life if you have to come into a dev zone and
constantly try to think of something to flame us about every day, thats really sad, you almost had my pity.

Now obviously you and Quan have a big problem with eachother, what you
fail to realise is that by posting here and flaming a zone, WHICH IS IN
DEVELOPMENT STAGE, WHERE EVERYTHING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE, your no better the George Bush saying there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq(Which after months of searching, he finally realised there was none).

Donkano, I can't fully complain about you because dispite your flaming,
half of your posts were full of advice and helpful suggestions. So i'll
leave it at that.

1stStrike, you did make some good points earlier, and that's why im
trying to come up with some new map ideas, you aren't even giving a 5
day old zone a chance, which is sad. I only met you a few times in-
game, but I think your threat about taking us off the directory list
was way out of line, considering your threatening a zone thats only
under development. Meaning EVERYTHING is subject to change. Jesus, you expect a 100% unique zone in 5 days? We havent even been working on it or a week.

And don't tell me other people havent copied other ideas at first to come up with thier own, because there are lots. I'll even give you an example. SSCI Dragonball Z came up with the Dragon Radar, SSCI Gundam Wing came up with thier new and improved version of a their radar AFTER the Dragon Radar was made.

LearJett+ I totally agree with you, and appreciate your support for our zone. And to answer your last question, no. I did not realise that there was another Namek on the SSC Biller. Whoever he is, obviously is coming extremely close to breaking the no-impersonation rule on a few servers. But obviously im glad to see that my name is admired.

Bak, yet antoher person who I really respect in all my time playing Continuum. You have really done a lot in programming, I admire your accomplishments. Thank you for your support, and our zone was down because of modem problems. However, I have no reason for the forums beign down, but they are back up now. Feel free to stop by Bak.

Insane-Elmo, that is exactly one of the main reasons me and Quan were trying to point out earlier. I'm glad you can see those facts for yourself. And I can only hope that half the players on Continuum can even realise that.

First of all, I haven't even gotten started flaming you guys. You're right though, I usually wouldn't bother flaming a zone. Here are the two things I have said in this thread. First, I raised a question of the moral correctness of your zone being named something extremely similar, being very similar in design and style, and most importantly using THE MAP from DBZ. I personally don't care for DBZ at all, but it's their map and not yours, I don't care how many small things (the border?! wtf, no) you modified. D1st0rt I have tried to show you as much respect posssible whilst defending DBGT, so let me start off by saying that adding me to your ignore list is surely not nessasary. Also, at the time I wasn't aware Quan had posted information on our dev zone on these boards. And if you read closely I earlier stated that i'm coming up with OUR OWN MAP. 100% Ours, not using anyone elses stuff.

If you guys would calm down, relax, have fun in Continuum, check back on our zone in a month or two, you would find that you wouldn't even recognize our zone, and it would be 100% DBGT, not copying anyone else. I mean EVERYTHING would be different. Like I stated earlier, judge us then, when we are open, not while we are still developing the zone.

I don't have a problem with you, not really even with your zone, just Quan. He's an idiot. (Just check out why he was temporarily banned from here.)

But really, you guys are trying to do this in the wrong way. The zone shouldn't even be open to the public until it's finished and/or unique enough not to be a rip off of another currently existing zone. Do not try to tell me that it is not a rip off as you have already contradicted yourselves on several occasions.

There's several options available to you:

A. Use subspace's play offline (That's what we did back in my day)

B. Run the zone locally however firewall off the port so no one on the outside can connect.

C. The easiest method is to remove all the directory server entries in the server.ini. That way you and anyone you need to test can manually add the zone without opening it before it's ready.

So far I have only heard excuses and poor attempts at insulting others. I also cannot read most of what Insane-Elmo has been posting. Unfortunetly, Babelfish can't seem to translate it either.

Yes, i'll take that idea under advisement, but Quan isn't online right now, and he's the one hosting the server atm. You will have to wait till I can talk to him.

There are tons of zones going up and down on the directory which are in development and only the dev can enter them.

I'll be replying to your 7 comments now cp!.

1) Morphing Sun++ HAS given permission as far a reach of agreement on the map.

2) DBZ doesn't need help dieing at all. Sai doesn't even care about DBZ anymore.

3) Copying snoop's zone name? Considering Akira Toriyama has the copyrights i'd say snoop doesn't own shit as far as the name is conserned.

4) Only files we have copied as far im aware of, is the tiles, which will be changed soon eough. I really hope you aren't also talking about the DragonRadar also, because its available for public use, as it is on Catid's site.

Shitty zone? Everyone has thier own opinion. And since you obviously have no control over my zone, i'll be telling YOU what we are going to do with it. Also, I think im going to give you an update on that now. It will stay up, and you will live with it. If you can't handle that, you can feel free to go cry me a river.

5) I didn't have to offer anyone anything. I'm not desperate like most ignorant people like yourself.

6) Hmm... noone initally, but it seems Morph doesn't have a problem with it now.

Anyway, elmo this IS becoming the old OF vs DBZ, you(generally, not specificly you) start off with their stuff, slowly change it, take dbz players and try to make them staff and try to kill dbz period...(well, dbz is pretty much dead anyway)

And CP, please, you've been a power hungry noob from the getgo, ive known you for a while now. And you cant "perm ban" players, you dont have a high enough bang power.

Elmo, he can ban you as long as he -can- because every owner/sysop can ban anyone from a local zone for no reason at all. (Unless you are liveforce, who mysteriously gets banfree'd no matter what the case.)

Also, one more thing CP..you said:

Thats kinda what dbz is...you guys have an average of like 2 people which is sad because your staff list outweighs the population. HS is not even up for playing and it still averages more than dbz.

the way i see it, they can are free to do whatever they want, we can't really stop them. u can have it blocked from the dir servers, i'll support that.
