which is better PHBB Free Boards or Invasion FREE Boards? And whats the diffrence?

Invasion, afaik, isn't free anymore unless your host has bought a license for it.

I prefer phpBB because thats what I am used to. And phpBB 3.0 is looking to be a good competition? for invasion.

If I'd create a forums system today, I'd pick punbb. But as I've been invested with phpbb for so damn long with so many little changes of my own and others, I'm sort of stuck. Plus, here is hoping that phpbb 3 actually fixes a lot of annoyances.

There's no phpbb3, it got recycled and now it's under a complete new project name.

For free forums I prefer SMF or IPB 1.3, for paid, IPB 2.0.

I would reccomend PHPBB because it has a lot of plugins for it available and is completely free.
