I stopped getting greens from destroyed ships in my level, no idea why... It worked fine, then it stopped (and I can't remember what all I changed in between icon_sad.gif )
I tried making MaxLatencyForPrizes very high, toggled S2CTakePrizeReliable and TakePrizeReliable to 1 then back to 0, and reset the server but no of this helped bring back greens left behind by kills.
What else can I do? I've attach my server.cfg in case the culprit is in there.

Code: Show/Hide
[Kill]
BountyIncreaseForKill=1

I think that's it, but I'm not sure..

Set [Prize] DeathPrizeTime to something high like 800.

[Prize] DeathPrizeTime is 5000, seems like it should be enough... (I even tried making it 800, no change).

I tried setting BountyIncreaseForKill back to 3 (it original setting), no change. By the way, isn't this setting just supposed to effect bounty given per kill?

Anyone got any other thoughts?

OOOOOOOOOOH!

Are you trying to make it where when you kill someone, you get like 2-5 bty each kill?

Ummm, no. I'm just trying to get a green to appear in the spot where someone just died.

[Prize]
DeathPrizeTime

Determines how long the green spawned from a destroyed ship (must have a bounty of at least 1, I believe) will remain in place.

I think if the killed ship is slow or stationary it may 'pick up' its own death prize. It only looks like this happens since the client thinks the ship and green overlap (it wouldn't matter if the dead ship greened it since they will respawn with a fresh ship).

PrizeDelay=400
PrizeFactor=2000
PrizeHideCount=30

Try setting your HideCount for something < or = to Prize Factor.

That's assuming you don't have Kill:EnterDelay=0 as is done in my zone.

Smong, thanks, you nailed it, that was it. I've been testing shooting stationary ships to see how well weapons kill.

Once I started shooting moving targets...greens!
