Trash Talk - SSU Jackpot looking for Players

SSU Jackpot is looking for some players who love classics. In this flagging deathmatch zone with complete LVZ from Sniper to Subspace v1.15 (I think) you battle for flag jackpots and for squad glory around the zone community. Not only this, but you can fight for self-glory. Descriptions from Sniper to SubSpace v1.34 meet the settings finally.

Come grab some greens to powerup your ship, capture all the flags and drop to win a glorious jackpot.* Bring in your squads to fight other squads, or yourself to just fight in this large deathmatch-like classic arena.
*Glorious jackpot applies if there are numerous kills within the flagging session.

My objective is to bring in a new Deathmatch Flagging zone (done) with a complete LVZ from the oldschool days (done), and begin players to adapt to a Large-DM styled arena with modified SVS settings to make gameplay balanced and fit the ship descriptions properly.

NOTE - Right now the settings are not officially complete, but almost you can say. With your help coming to the zone, I can get comments and suggestions from you and other players on what should be added/removed/changed to make the settings absolutely perfect, unique, and balanced (according to ship descriptions).

Right now we do not have a website, but it's being worked on.

SSU Jackpot also has all VIE maps installed into appropriate arenas - those with settings (ie. from the CD) have been applied too. Check our news.txt for a list of arenas.

Be sure to tell your friends and buddies about us. icon_biggrin.gif

Zone Title : SSU Jackpot
Zone IP : 64.34.169.74
Zone Port : 4000

As the motto goes...
"Meet people from all over the world...then kill them!"

Thanks!

Hey there. biggrin.gif Yes you!

You want to help make its population grow bigger? Then help out by maybe dedicating a seperate SubSpace v1.34/5 or Continuum client for AFKing in the zone whenever you do not feel like playing. Or just keep your eyes on the zones population and come play with whoever is available.

I'm sorry but that's just dishonorable. I would never go to a zone that encouraged such things.

Seriously. Spawning bots then silencing them isn't that hard.

Wasn't this the same zone you claimed got 20+ players before SSU?

Quote:
Back when this zone was up, it ocasionally had about 6 to 10 players. I think it's highest population count was 21.

^ Clearly made that up? Your maximum on SSU so far has been a whopping 3! (http://stats.17thparallel.com/index.php?a=zone&id=1286)

If you were around for the VIE days, you'd know that this zone had more pop.

@Spyed
The last time this zone ran was about 3 years ago. At that time the zone had a slowly growing population and sometimes would reach up to almost 20. Only a few times back then have we gotten 20+.

What happened to the zone back then? Firstly the server got hacked and was forced to format, and I quit SubSpace soon after. I came back a month or so ago, and decided to reconstruct this zone. And so it has happened. =)

The settings back then were just perfect too. Now I have to spend time hoping a player will pop in the zone occasionally so I can see and find out what needs adjustment.
