... I confirmed Today that the software I support is coded in Visual Basic (new version in VB.NET). May this infernal language be stricken from the land.

My company is doomed. The worst part isn't VB. It is that my fate rests in the hands of one man. Who is coding the new version in VB.Net, which he has never learned! Practical learning is great, for me, when I make my shitty little asss module, but shit.. this sucks.

What do I have to do to atone my soul for supporting Microsoft in the following areas: Outlook, Visual Basic, Visual Basic .NET, Word, Excel, and MS SQL Server?

10 Hail Penguins? [edit]

interesting anecdote: The best techs (my co-worker and I) both are linux users with a job in tech support for an add-in to MS software.

If he's doing .NET, he really should be using C#
