Trash Talk - A new biller, SSO

Post subject: A new biller, SSO
As representative of SSR and Co-Owner, we would like to grant the biller name back to its rightful owner: CypherJF.

We have created a new biller and a new (unused) name for it: SSO, or SubSpace Overload. By doing this, we have no association with the other, older owners of SSR and are now a completely unique and original biller.

The Owners of SSO are as follows:

Cybersnipe
MasterTriforce

All of which are Co-Owner and have equal rights to the biller.

Further attempts at hacking any SSO related servers and members’ computers will be dealt with, weather it be by court or means of our own. Hacking is illegal (http://www.techdirt.com/articles/20021115/0117252.shtml) and in violation of 4th Amendment rights. By connecting to this server, or interacting with it by whatever means, binds you to the laws of the United States and all associated terms of agreement.

You may NOT have another party attempt to hack as well for you will be guilty by association.

For anyone needing hosting on our biller, please contact MasterTriforce@Gmail.com

The website for this new biller is http://sso.50webs.com

that article you posted, as well as the 4th amendment refer to illegal searches done by the state, not to individuals hacking other individuals. How do you plan on dealing with people hacking you from outside the USA? Prosecute them under US law? Ha!

So you support hacking?

How can you read that from Bak's post?

It's a blanket contract. Though this can not be considered legal advice.

can't be a contract if I don't agree to it. Hope everyone who connects to your server reads these forums.

Thats why I encouraged them to modify the biller to require a website account activation. It'd be easy to do with minor modifications to the catid biller source. icon_smile.gif

My original idea for SSR when I was thinking of getting a server from serverbeach, was that in order to access the server and the account is new, you'd have to goto say www.ssr.net to create the account; where you'd go through steps of signup, stating you agree to the biller terms and services, etc.

Then your account would then be allowed to be created on the biller through the website, if you agreed to the terms.

But I dont think they got around to doing such a system. :/

Though again I must state this is not legal advice -

They do not address the issue that most players are under the age of 18, which means in the US they are not legally bound to any contract. Their guardian must sign it for them.

Also, all billers technically violate the US laws that protect the gathering of information from people under the age of 13. Under US law, it is my understanding that a parent/guardian must give the OK for anyone to keep information (e-mail address, name, age, address, etc) about their child.

But ya know, no one enforces such things. Maybe I misread this stuff somewhere as well.

Also, if they're under 13 you can't collect any information from them.

The whole contract thing was just to cover ourselves since someone (to keep this from spinning in to a flame topic, I won't state who) had gotten another person to hack our biller. It was directed at him and anyone that he tried to get to hack us again.

I didn't mean to offend anyone else, just to try to keep it from happening again.
