Its been released, has anyone been able to download it? The main eclipse website has been slash-dotted and some of the mirrors haven't synced yet. If you had downloaded it, is there any chance I can get it from you? tongue.gif

56k rules! woohoo.

Eclipse is the primary Java IDE.

I was forced to use it for a semester and I grew to actually like it more than my precious TextPad.

Now I use Eclipse for all my Java enterprises, and TextPad for any misc. ASCII editing.

Eclipse is a IDE that was designed but may be extended to support a multitude of programming languages such as C/C++. It features an extensive plugin framework making it more robust than many IDEs that exist; best of yet, it's free.

www.eclipse.org

I really like the fact that CVS, Javadoc, JUnit all exist with it inline by default.

How would you get it from another person if you're just going to have to download it anyway?

I uploaded it to my FTP server, so you can get it there.
Code: Show/Hide
IP = ftp://24.44.23.128
Username = Eclipse
Password = eclipsepw
Port = 21

It's the Windows Eclipse 3.1 with SDK, by the way.

I got it from the FTP, and it's all good biggrin.gif yey for this. I did grab a torrent program to download Fedora Core 4 whenever I have time, on 56k it'll be a while. icon_wink.gif
