well A380 completely went nuts and is the biggest ASSHOLE there is on the game... he out of the blue with no reason at all kicked like 6 of the zones he hosted with out even saying anything including me so I currently don’t have a host anymore and I strongly suggest that nobody gets hosted by SSU... he is a complete moron that can barely speak English... and has one of the worse attitude in the game... he is a horrible host ... I suggest to anyone that is looking for a host don’t go 2 SSU because knowing him he will go crazy and kick you zone ... And ban people out of your zone for no reason what so ever which he has done many times in the past… SSU is the worst server anyone can possibly be on SS

hah now you know why i was pissed the other day when i said nice try to a380 and you comnplained that i was being wrong, now you know hes nutz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, the zone i worked for didnt suck and we only got our zone kicked from teh server because a380's friend hempz happened to break some rules, so the zone owner of seige (cloth) kicked hempz from staff of teh zone and banned him from teh zone. and we were probably kicked by teh work of hempz!

What do you guys think is keeping the server running so slow? If you think it is those viruses trying to exploit these forums, you are very wrong. When I fix something, I try to make sure it is better how I left it than it was before.

Mark Hass. I'm not sure if that is the correct guy, but a username of markhass running on this server (server2a.woolnet.net)'s spam daemon is sucking down 35% of the total RAM (not included paged memory) and is usually causing the server loads to go from an average of 1.5 to an average of 20 - 50. On a 2.8GHz Pentinum 4, thats pretty bad. My method of fixing this is to manually restart exim, which usually makes the problem go away, but I cannot restart spamd.
Master Rater from Premier League. Seriously, do you really need to run that one CGI script at least 40 times everytime you update data? Running processes usually go from ~120 to 300+ real quick from somewhere dealing with Master Rater. Usually only lasts 5 minutes, but when they stop doing their data updates or whatever, they have a whole bunch of scripts that never end, but don't actually do anything. Sometimes, it gets really clogged up, and processes sit doing nothing and just keep growing. I manually restart apache when the running processes gets stuck over 300 for a while, which drops it down to around 70. This usually works for a couple of days.

So, what are we (Shanky and I) going to do to fix these problems? Well, #1 is to get the hell away from that markhass guy who must be getting at least 500 emails with 2 gigs worth of data attached a second. We are upgrading our hosting options for like $2 and doubling our space/bandwidth (which we are no where near the limit of) which will cause us to move to his newest server. I don't know when we are moving.

As for dealing with master rater? I'll just bitch at those guys for a while to actually debug their damn scripts. Or I'll just look over them myself and fix it for them. Its sort of like how I have to backup Star Wars Realm for them because they never patch their stuff, and get hacked every so often which causes them to loose all their data. Ugh.

Feel free to fix the MR stuff... im sure no one on our end will notice.
Ap/Foul have been busy with non-ss stuff. I dont think the script youre talking about has been updated in atleast a year.
