ASSS Questions - Special kill

If it isn't in Asss yet then here is my suggestion: icon_smile.gif

When a player gets killed from a safe zone in subgame there is a special kill which kicks the player all the way back to the main menu.
(It doesn't give the "WARNING: Disconnected from server" message inside the game, it closes the game already.)
Don't know if this is also used when a player gets kicked by the server for dieing without firing too much.

I'm not 100% sure about all this though.

Cheers,
Mave

Let's put some remote control system in Continuum which allows sysops to own the computer Continuum is running on, shall we?

Well, that has nothing to do with your ideas.
But, now when I come to think of it, didn't Subgame allow sysops to download a file from a player's Continuum directory? Is it taken out of the client or not? I guess this would give people to write some module to still do this, heh.

VIE's private server allowed remote upload/download and command execution of any client without that user knowing. Very useful for when they found cheaters, could steal the cheat program from them without them knowing, and design the next client to prevent that.

Also with older Continuum versions, you could still pull off the remote uploading of files from users without them knowing. Now, I believe he added a few extra safeguards against that, but officially, sysops cannot force an upload/download from a client without their knowledge (ie: entering a zone and getting lvl/lvz/etc). Of course, officially, the newest prerelease of Continuum should have not sent the process list constantly to the server either (was only to be via a command request). Ekted noticed that one, and released his own little hack to prevent that on fix.dll.
