Nothing to do with the ports, that is for other people, we need to get you in first.
You need to replace the ~~~server port~~~ with the [misc] port= part in server.ini, and that should let you in.

Read your router manual. The two ports to open are the server's port and the server's port + 1. So if your port is 1000, you open 1000 and 1001. If its 2541, you open 2541 and 2542...

I dont think so, unless you have a very complex routing setup.

I'm using a SMC 7004ABR broadband router and can't get a LAN connection. I've open port and port +1 (UDP). Another party is trying to connect to the right port. Now, when he download the zones, he sees mine but it looks downed.
I'm not sure if i opened the "right" ports though that's about the only thing i'm uncertain of. I looked through SME site but it's not much help...
If someone here knows how SME router works or what a "port windows" look alike (standard) i'd appreciate the help.
Thanks

There are two things you can check:
See if your default gateway is the router's internal IP, and see if your zone on the zone list has the router's external IP.
If either of these are not true then there is another router/firewall/gateway somewhere in your system.
Also make sure that the ports you opened point to the ss server's IP. Thats about all I can think of.
