Is the directory server software/source public?
If not does anyone know if it has some sort of flood protection?

Catid has his directory server that is open source; Lord Maucaub has one as well, that you'd have to contact him; I'm not sure if it's open source or not. But I didn't believe they have flood protection.

Well I only wanted the source to check if there was some kind of flood protection, but I'm with you that there isn't.
I should have checked beforehand, but my problem is: all the directory servers I'm aware of are unreliable.
Currently these do not exit or are down:
sscentral.sscuservers.net (Down for about 36 hrs)
sscentral.subspace.inet.fi
sscentral.ds98.com
sscentral.subspacehq.com
sscentral.subspace.net (Does not exist)
sscentral.game-host.org
Are there any other servers out there that have some uptime? If not perhaps it is time to get another DServer up.

Anyone got a working dir server name? Right now I can't get response from any of the dir servers mentioned in 2dragons post.

I guess for now just add Custom Zone with the proper name and IP:Port.
