The record module has never worked on windows, as far as I know.

Go download some distro, read the handbook while installing it (or, if you take some really newb-friendly distro, just install it), done? icon_confused.gif

The point is, if asss is going to ever become a popular server software; it will have to work with Windows...

Just because icon_wink.gif $ It should be a simple fix. I guess it has something to do w/ Zlib (?)... Grel should look into it icon_wink.gif

MichaelG: maybe because it attempts to doubly open the file
MichaelG: it does return some kind of file pointer


It actually is a problem there, if I replace the call with a normal gzopen to a new(or identical filename for that matter) it proceeds just fine.


But whether that helps solving it?
