Server Help

It's Katrina... back from the dead. Says I last visited October 7th, 2003. Still can't remember me? I played in CWZ Crucial Warzone... set a pretty damn good record there too.

Since I'm back... I have a qeustion, and instead of posting two seperate posts, I'll bundle them together here. I started up a server... just for fun, but I'm having an odd problem. I can use _bwz.lvl just fine, but if I try to use any other maps (or overwrite _bwz.lvl with my own map so as to not change the map name), right when it goes to download the file when entering the zone, Continuum crashes with this:

Don't remember you, but CWZ is over on SSN; but the pop has been kinda like the last couple of weeks, sigh.

Smithy? Eh... don't remember you. sa_tongue.gif Cypher sounds familiar. I only remember one time when I had prox and got like 300+/- to 0.

Anyone got an idea on my server problem?

About the error, I think that's usually a problem with the map file being empty/corrupted. Check the filesize.

You're all sucking up to her because she's allegedly a girl.

Are you trying to use the same map, or different ones? If you're getting that error with all other maps, I'd suggest redownloading subgame, just to make sure it didn't get some funky corruption while being downloaded.

As for the error... it sounds like your map file is corrupt.. Have you tried multiple maps or just the bwz and the one you made?

I got a File Write error agian.

This time, after the error, I took a map I downloaded from another zone (just to test of course, not stealing!) and put that into the server folder, and changed the server.ini to match. Still the FWE. Any ideas?

Sorry I'm being such a pain, but thanks in advance.

Yeah, but I'll check in the morning. Why wouldn't the file be larger than 0? I went right into a VERY POPULAR ZONE, and got their map. Dropped it into my server dir, then changed the map name in server.ini. Still the read error. The only way I don't get a read error is if I use the stander _Bzw.lvl or _Bwz.lvl (always mix it up). If I change even one tile on that map, I get a read error.
