umm can some1 please help me... i need someone to help me. if you COULD set the server.ini and subbil.ini up for me if u could or walk me through it my AIM name is Light4Lyfe. the ports i opened are 3000 and 3001. Please help. heres my files

First make sure your server is fine, your router is the next step.

You could've fixed your INI files before even posting here, click here to learn more.

<insert sarcasm> Let see... If i recall correctly i've made 2 tuts and posted them in the General Queastions section of this board and both are tut's to help setup a router for zone hosting.... but then again I could be recalling a dream I once had.... </end sarcasm>

I'm sure the site gave you another port number for the server to run on, update your zone list to make sure your client has the right port.

That's what I got when I gave your INI files to it.
If you used the corrected version it gave you then your server now listens on port number 4000, and your biller listens on port 3000 (that's what you made it, but both programs used the same port).

The server attempts to connect to your biller, to port 3000 on your own system, and players can connect to your server at port 4000.
So, port 4000 (protocol: UDP) has to be forwarded from your router to your system to allow people from outside your router to play on it.

By the way, I didn't want to say anything about it since it's none of my business, but they're right here: stop using others their stuff without their permission.

If you won't help people, don't troll their posts. Just because you dislike him because he took someone's tiles or settings doesn't mean he doesn't have a right to get help.

I seem to recall a couple of years ago, everyone hated Catid. Except me. I disliked his style back then, but I still supported his work and protected him on my forums. I was the only SS site that didn't ban/delete him or his posts on sight. Now look at it, he is loved and liked by all, and is a moderator at his own sub-forums a site that once banned him on sight.

Bad things:

Good programmer:
I know of 10 other programmers that are better than Cat that are doing more for the game. Catid is HARDLY a valued commodity. We alone have ~5 programmers on this list far in advance of his piddly skills.

So to those who want him to work on constructive stuff, i say: go for it, just not with ssc approval. Perhaps with some positive direction from you guys, he MIGHT actually start producing something helpful. But the reasons above just don't cut it. He will always continue to take advantage of any thing he gets and an ssc stamp of approval is only going to give him more leverage to do more damage.

ummm after we where told to take the shit tileset down i began to work on a new tileset.i changed map
and then i change the pub 0 map and some1 renamed it and took the place of the old normal map so it poped up being.. a NTC counterstrike map so we took that down after every1 started to yell at us and now only ourstuff is up except one arena which is Balance due to a retard thats in canada atm

Trench Wars is the worst zone for stealing other's. They bitch and complain if someone has their own little zone with Trench Wars settings/map, yet they contain at least 20 different other zones within their subarenas.
