Tired and frustrated with zones overrun by a few elite squads? Got a fix for taking out a couple lame brains? SSCX Omega Fire has what you want - solo reccing, excellent flagging, and some of the saaviest players around - for you to kill.
We've redesigned Omega Fire from the ground up...
Now that the Omega Fire staff and players have become accustom to the settings, the sysops have taken the next step....to balance out the settings. We carefully considered what the players are saying, what they think about the various aspects of Omega Fire, and how we can make it better. We know that we had to stop the laming. We also had to make the zone more flaggable....which meant changes in some ships, however, we wanted to be sure that ships started from center with a full arsenal of weapons.
Eight unique flagging ships of various size each with a specific attack and defense strength.
Four large flagging bases with war zone style defense mechanisms.
From the players... Lukez> the settings rule. it's just the right chemistry of speed and energy and bomb types; and a great staff...are good to get along with.

If you remember back to early October, the ops here have been promising a new map for a long long time. Then we got this crazy idea about merging with Hyperspace zone. Well, the merge included an enormous map designed to suit both zones, however as time went by, we realized that the two zones were very different and one map couldn't suit both. So, we basically dropped that map, and went with a smaller map. We have a small map to reduce the running. Running is just lame and it happens too much. Now of course, this new map has it's escape methods, but it will be much harder to escape nme antiwarp from now on.
This tileset is 100% original designed by Omega Fire operators for Omega Fire. We stuck with the red highlights because red symbolizes Omega Fire --- The Last Burning Flame in Subspace.
