I am trying to host my own servr...again. Ok I have read through the linksys help and no solution. But I had it working once but then I did something that messed it up which I dont know what it was. Under the server.ini on both port sections at first when it worked it was Misc [Port]=185 and the other was port 185. Subbill.ini was 185 and thats when it worked. But now when I change it back it doesnt work. Any solutions?

Your biller and server ports need to be different.

No.

Put the billing port (in server.ini) to 185.

Put the misc port to whatever (382 you said).

Attach your server.ini and biller.ini files to a post in here without the passwords so we can look at it to find the problem.

K found your problem... you had the server port set to 4483 in the misc section of the server.ini.... but in the
Code: Show/Hide
Billing section...
ServerId=483
//Make the same as in [Misc] Port=
GroupId=1
ScoreId=0
//Make the same as in [Misc] Port=

So I changed your ports to 1000.... so now then server ports are
Code: Show/Hide
MISC
Port=1000
BILLING
ServerId=1000
//Make the same as in [Misc] Port=
GroupId=1
ScoreId=1000
//Make the same as in [Misc] Port=

All you have to do now is just put your passwords back in and put your server ip back in the server.ini misc section.... should work then.

Using a router? Dont forget to forward the port 1000 and 1001 to the ip of the ss server.

I did but not sure MSN DSL lets you run any type of server since when I type my real ip in and it takes me to the stats of the internet.

I dont know much about dsl but you might be able to call them and find out if they block it or not.

They can't tell whether you're running a server or not. If you're behind a router, that's your problem.
