SSI Super Fortress

SSI Super Fortress is a well managed ctf soon to be multi-ctf flagging zone. The object of the game is each team has 5 flags, and theyre dropped in a certain place. There is only 2 freqs, so a good combination is to work as a team. Each time one of the flags are captured and returned to the flag room, that flag will not respawn until the next game. Though still under construction with capturing only 1 flag, the staff is working hard to get the others going.

The Graphics

The graphics of SSI Super Fortress are very well placed with good lvz work, and alot of dedication from the owner and the co-owner. The ships are very unique and have very different names, though still fun.

The Staff

The staff of SF is very well managed and small. Unlike some zones, we don't ban for ignorant reasons, just if its something major. All staff takes apart in the zones activitys and events happening in Super Fortress.

The Ranks

Ranks are a very special feature in SF. When you get a certain amount of points, you go up a rank, and a patch appears to the right of your energy bar. Like, right now, I have 70,000 points, wich makes me a Warrant Officer.

The Players

Right now we have about 17-20 people constant, but were always looking for new players. Our max so far is about 28, and that occured about 30 minutes after we were set up on SSI.

Space Docking (new)

Each team will be able to go to the docking station in the back of their base and go out into space with ship 6. The ship will be able to have players attach so they can wage seige onto the enemy from both sides! The space ship is not allowed to go past the docking station it can only unload passengers at the enermy!

Looks promising, however the 1.78MB is going to be harsh for modem users...

The download on cable modem took about 30 to 45 seconds for me... So not to bad.

No, LVZs are never mandatory. If people want to have the standard gfx, let them.

maybe just the background is optional

many dial up users with crappy computers cant handle the 20 fps loss from .lvz backgrounds >_>

Just make the sounds optional. Usually they're the biggest download.

actualy its the bg thats the biggest we have over 1000+ pieces of background and additional items on the map.

I have a 56K and whilst playing America's Army Bridge I get anywhere from 8-16fps usually but I have been as high as 20fps on at least one occasion.

well try lowering your color depth it has a little to do with your connection but mostly with your graphics card a good graphics card better your fps

go to advanced options and click disable page clipping, no frame limit

Well then make the background optional. Seriously, would you rather people have not quite a good UI in the zone or not play it at all? (I wouldn't if I had dialup.)

I feel bad for you having to locate each tile and position it correcly and whatnot.. :/... *unless u have a secret awesome map editor >icon_smile.gif* lol

Super Fortress rocks! Anybody who says they cant play it needs to badly upgrade there pc's. I mean this is a 2d game for crying out loud, Wolfenstein and Doom use more textures and polygons than this zone and them games are 10 years old! As for the download, 2 MB for any free game is rediculously small. A few textures and people go nuts, obviously whoever made the map is experienced and developing for the 2000's, not worrying about people stuck in the mid 90's. Nice Zone, Nice Map, keep it up and make more like it, awesome work. My 2 cents. peace icon_smile.gif

It is kinda crap and really slow paced...the width of the room is SMALL
