Trash Talk - PostNuke and Shanky.com wEaViL - Thu Feb 19, 2004 5:02 am Post subject: PostNuke and Shanky.com
This is just a idea I thought I would throw at MGB. I'm running a postnuke site; you can see if if ya click the www link in my profile.... but heres a idea, if shanky will allow this. If ya looked at my site you should notice phpbb2 is implimented into it and theres alot of things you can do with postnuke. My thoughts where, with shanky gone, why not setup a postnuke site with all the help info and downloads and all that from shank's site and do a database backup on this forum and put it all together on a postnuke site? You wouldn't lose any of the post in here becuase all you have to do is update it with your backup. I thought this might help alot with keeping all of the server help site together in 1 easy to use site. Seems like a great idea and i'd be willing to help with the conversion if ya wanted. Just lemme know what ya think. Smong - Thu Feb 19, 2004 1:48 pm Post subject:
The thing about the post nuke forum, is that there is a menu on the left side, what a waste of space.

You do realise that I can have you shot for having such suggestions.
Anyway, it has been done, it is useless, it won't work, ain't happening.
And shanky doesn't need lame amatuer-phpnuke to begin with, he's too cool to let some newbie-tool do his web job for him, he just code it himself.

BAH! Even my own staff doesn't know I exist...
Shanky does nothing with servers or programming. He cannot do either. The only reason Server Help is on shanky.com is because he is older, thus got a job first, and thus got a domain name before me.
Reason Server Help hasn't been updated in a long, long time is because subgame hasn't be updated in a long, long time. Most the stuff now deals with bots or asss, all of which changes pretty often. The other questions deal with problems setting up subgame, and if they read the instructions or the FAQs, they wouldn't be asking questions in forums, thus updating the main site wouldn't help them much, since it is evident that they won't read help files much.
And *nuke is ugly as hell, and always slow.
