Post subject: Need a bit of help: Newbie sysop on the loose :P

now i got a problem.

i downloaded the server files, set up a zone with the map that came with it (my one is not complete)
set a port, set a name and description, set a mod, smod, and sysop password, ive done settings for one ship, and i need to know how to access the sysop commands.
I also have edited server.cfg to make me the arena owner.
Its strange because when i use this:

Code: Show/Hide

?login (password here)
Logged into data server as sysop

*arena test

Then i get nada, nothing. i've searched and searched, and i cant find out why i cant get sysop powers activated.

its getting to the point where i want to give up... i started this challange, and i intend to finish it

If you guys could help, it would be really appreciated

i feel a bit stupid, i realized i was loggin into the billing. Is there nething i can do to fix the sysop problem tho? i have my name in the sysop.txt and sysopcheck=1 so it will check... i dont know if i want these or not....

help me out please

either type *sysoppassword in-game, or append *sysoppassword to your normal password in your profile (eg. your normal password is donkey, your sysop password is monkey, your full password field would be donkey*monkey)

you can find your sysop password in your server.ini in the [Password] section

(if you append your profile password, you will probably need to make a new profile so you have one for your zone and one for normal zones - because normal zones will reject your sysop password and keep you from entering)

Make sure also that you are in the sysop.txt
