The continuum folder, the one where the game installed to.

If it's the public map, you gotta change the filename in server.ini.

But for news, just replace the one that's in the server folder already.

I know how to change the news and stuff but what folder is it in. Shoudl i put it in the zone that i want to change the news in?

And for the map I can jst leave it the same name and it should overwrite it because SSDM is hosting it for me right now.

if you have direct access to the server (server is on your computer / you can ftp to server)...

just put the .lvl (or news.txt) into the server directory (same place as subbill.exe and subgame2.exe)

generally, whatever the name of the .lvl is will be the name of the arena that will use THAT PARTICULAR .lvl

if you want the .lvl to be used in public arenas, make sure it is named whatever you have specified for "defaultlevelfile=" in the [misc] section of your server.ini

if you do NOT have direct access to the server...

then make sure the .lvl (or news.txt) is in your main Continuum directory (eg. C:\Program Files\Continuum) and then go in-game and type "*putfile name.lvl" (or "*putfile news.txt")

when you update a map like that, the arena is automatically recycled (all players in arena are disconnected) - fyi

do whatever you want, but if you overwrite a file (any file) you should make sure you have a backup copy somewhere if you value that file (different names is a good idea)
