Post subject: lag problems.
Hi.

I have a problem...

When most people connect, they lag out while they're connecting to my zone.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot.

I don't have a router, or a firewall.

I also have a 10 mbps connection.

Would you be able to tell us how they lag out? Such as a log message from the subgame window, from *log, or the message the clients actually get?
Does ?lag show wierd values?
Do you have a 2meg LVZ file?

Yes, duh, if everyone gets lagged out, its probably a server problem. That's also the thing with LVZs. If people lag out while downloading, then it's probably because they're taking up too much bandwidth.

And, Daimyou, you mean lag out of the zone, right, not just into spec?

Ok, to answer the questions...
1. 450 KB lvz.
2. the subgame window shows ping time around 4000 and high packetloss.
3. they lag out of the zone.

Oh yeah, it happens even when they've already downloaded the lvz.
But, only to a few people. even most dialup users can get into the zone...

Ok, I fixed it.

I had C2SKickOutPercent and S2CKickOutPercent set to 1000, so it was kicking people out if they had any packetloss at all.
