It won't be too easy, but Apache is pretty much the best, and free. Works on Windows too if you want, but designed for the *nix machines.

IIS = patch me every week, otherwise any script kiddie will take full control of your system. I'd advice against that if you are slow in ANY way in patching windows.

...yes...
...ok... ur right!
...half... im usind IIS (NEVER UPGRADET/Patched IT and it works and the sys too) & Apache ... the Scriptkiddies tried a lot... but I set up a firewall wich blocks all SENT, CONNECT etc actions... except some.. like gbScript.php and statistic.php (and Savefiles!)
... or u can ban em all by a firewall ...
... thats really funny...
i love it!
LOL

You haven't even patched IIS for CODE RED or CODE RED TWO??!

That's like two of the worst viruses, and they ONLY affect IIS. I used to receive over 20 Code Red attacks every day, most of them from local places in town that have sucky systems. What it does is very important to know, Code Red replaces the main page on your website with "HACKED BY CHINESE!!!!" and then it does some other stuff. Code Red 2 starts getting into the stuff about programs in your Windows folder and stuff in the registry to boot it up.

ALTHOUGH, you should be fine if you're not using port 80 (the default web server port) for IIS

Damn.... I can never find out how to get it to work.

I cannot see a test preview of it.

I do not know which items I need to upload to my web hosting server for it to run.

I do not know how to edit posts

If someone doesn't tell me how, well, no point to it for me... tongue.gif
