hi, i tried to connect mervbot to my server, it reconnected ~ 7 times or so, i got repeated "incompatible network protocol" messages from subgame2, then said warning:connection flood and i believe it banned my bot, because now when i attempt to reconnect the server completely ignores it
I cant seem to find a place where bans are stored, if it was, in fact, banned. Maybe the problem was EncryptMode set to 1 in mervbot.ini? If i could get the server to ack the bot connection request i'm sure i could figure it out...so any help with either aspect of this problem would be much appreciated.
Oh, and in addition, i've added the bot's would-be name to my vip.txt and sysop.txt list, and in server.ini set ForceContinuumOnly to 0 - i set ForceContinuumOnly before the connection issue, however, the addition to the 2 txt's was done post-"ban". I apologize if i've overlooked something blatantly obvious; it wouldnt be the first time (:

Try again.
After it connects ~7 times in a row, the server kicks it for floods. This means that for roughly a minute, the server ignores connection requests from that ip. It should work now that you have added it to VIP.txt
If you were logged in as sysop in the zone at the time you would have seen several errors right on top of eachother.

The [evil red sysop] warning messages are rate-limited. If you exceed the limit, your client is put in the packet flood queue and packets are ignored from you for a period of time. ExplodyThingy's analysis is correct. After being added to VIP.TXT (as per my instructions in readme.txt, i might add) the bot should be able to enter any Ctm-only zone.
