[50% Packetloss]

This is the problem. I debuild the lvz file (found in SSCX Starwarzone- ?go draft) and then i attempted the rebuild the same exact thing and the program spit out an error "syntax error in line 'C-250,C+190,IMAGE24,TopMost,ServerControlled,1200,511' ".
Another wierd thing happened in the debuild, files in the .ini were repeated twice, i took out the repeat and rebuilding still didnt work.
I attached the EXACT copy of the ini file and below I cropped out the comment lines created and duplicate files.

Lvz file is for the bot to keep stats with. I am using the most recent version of debuild and have tried both versions of the build prog. I am a lvz newbie so i cant read half of this file.

The double File= lines means that they included the file twice in the .lvz, which means it is VERY bloated, much more than it should be. As for why it doesn't want to re-build, it seems as if BuildLevel dislikes the C+190, since if you make tham all minus signs, it will build.

Just use the other builder, as BuildLevel has a bug in this way for why it won't compile. But I would recommend telling that zone that their lvz is about twice as large as it should be, since it includes each file twice.

Ok new problem now. The CLCconsole program did build the ini but it changed info. I built what i was updating and then debuilt it to see that it looked correct. I removed some images and the image numbers may be diffent that the ones above, so thats fine/

if this cant be fixed could someone explain how to change something like
"C+184,C+190,IMAGE24,TopMost,ServerControlled,1200,521 "
so that the + is a - and will still be in the same position, so that it will build correctly for buildlevel

I'm not sure if CLC is even setup to work properly these days - you'll notice that post you linked to is rather old - I'll talk to Bob Dole.. Bob Dole... Bob Dole...... bob dole.... bob... dole.... about it when I see him

dunno what's with those negative numbers up top, if they even work then they'll start way off the left side of the screen...which seems pointless

I believe you can just use "c184" instead of "c+184"

the rest looks fine assuming you have the "file=" entries and "outfile=" up top in the file, too

there could be some little errors, but I'm not about to sift through all that code

you should include the exact error debuild spits out at you when asking how to correct it

as for the negative numbers - you cannot just convert them to a proper coordinate, they represent a specific pixel location

if you want something placed properly, supply an image and where and how you want it placed and perhaps I (or someone else) will set it up for you [as a one-time example ]

CLC is outdated yes, it uses CLV1 and 0.38 uses CLV2.

debuild also has created completly wrong coords

negative places object off the screen.

so im just going to go back through and redo all the coords for the images. I thank you for all your help, knowing about that addition bug saved me hours of frustration.

Hey now, nothing really wrong with DeBuildLevel. I plan on making a public lvz library, mostly for use in ASSS, but anyone could use it. That way, everyone can play around with fixing things like above.

The reason DeBuildLevel source isn't out is because it was a REALLY quick hack job. It was the original program I had to just print out the information, and slowly made it change from hex into actual useful ini data. Then once I had it all figured out, I asked Priit if he wanted me to have the lvz information public. Surprised by his yes answer, I didn't have a clean program ready, but went ahead with the programs I did have. Then I hacked the version 2 info into this one. So its a pretty ugly program.
