ChatBak 0.1 by Doc Flabby

Mostly complete implementation, missing a few things (like kill messages and freq/ship changes). Have to manually enter IP and info.

In order to compile you need.

Lazerus
http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/

and this module
http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/lNet

It should compile on linux and Mac but i dont have the equipment to test it.

full source and EXE (UPX Packed) attached.

Does that only happen when entering a SSC zone? I don't have a banned account, to reproduce the error with, the error might be caused by the ASSS server agressivly severing the connection. Try recompiling with debugging and line numbers and see if you can find the problem icon_smile.gif

I'm also interested if anyone else has tried the program.

When I use wine, instead of running it natively (which I couldn't figure out how to do), it doesn't show a list of players. It also doesn't have a horizontal scrollbar, so I couldn't see the entire message from some people. I had to type ?go 0 before it went to an arena. When I don't check debug, then it doesn't connect.

Here's one a made after I got tired of UChat.
I like this way better than using Send: Recv, just use colors:

You need to install lazerus and the Inet unit, then recompile it.

you can't run it natively, i only provided windows binaries, you have to recompile. It should work correctly if you do this. It was created to fullfill the purpose here http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=19731

The SEND and RECV only appear when debugging mode is used. They show the raw packets being sent and recieved. So I'm not really understanding your point.
