Does it turn off during boot?
Or after you loged in?
If it does during boot, press f5 before windows starts and select dont restart on system failure. It may be a blue-screen that would be at some use.

Also is there a way to fix the monitor? because i really dont want to throw it out, it's 22" and one i replaced with was 17"

Are the fans working correctly? Could sound like an overheating issue _________________ (Insert a bunch of dead links here)

I bought my computer rebuilt, and it has only 1 fan in it, i bought the computer 4 month ago worked fine until about a month ago, I was thinking maybe because i have allot of apps it started over heating? and that 1 fan is not enough?
computer is gateway LX 6810-01
8 gb ram
2.33 ghz quad core
640 gb harddrive
geforce gt120
Is there a program that sees if computer is over heating? I dont have anything on case that says the temperature so i cant really tell
And what about the monitor? Is there still a way to fix it?

Either way... try to make a backup of your stuff and reformat
These kinds of issues usually get fixed that way (+ it runs like a new computer)

nah, reformat fixes computer rebooting for no apparent reason
The temperatures you have don't seem too bad to me... people with killer gaming rigs will probably tell you OMGOMGOMGITSTOOHOT, but that's because they have a jet engine in their machine to pump fluid in their rig

the computer shuts itself off as a security feature to prevent damage from excessive heat.
you really shouldnt have it on until you get whetever isnt working fixed.
or you can follow samas advice by reformatting, then pressing ctrl alt del then alt f4+powerbutton _________________ SSC Distension Owner

Is the heat shown there that bad? My computer shows temperatures in the 60's too... For people with killer gaming rigs powered by F18 turbine engines, I'm guessing that would be very hot indeed, but other than that...

as long as your GPU readings doesn't exceed 80 under stress or if you're idling, then you're okay. CPU, i'd start to worry if it's over 60 celsius really.
either way, check out your power cable for the computer - it could be the wrong one (wrong watt or some crap, i can't remember) - i had this kind of problem with my old computer. a fresh power cable stopped my computer from overheating.
check for any fans that aren't working properly and fans that seem to be spinning but not circulating any air. check for any melted plastic, loose screws etc. i'd advise you not to turn on your computer until you've found out what's wrong. you could be doing more damage to your computer by turning it on all the time forcing it to run.

I personally don't think 50 degrees is very hot, but I guess it depends on the computer. If you think your machine is shutting down because it's too hot, then get another fan - but I doubt it. Why not increase your fan RPM, 1400 isn't very high.
It just sounds like you've got either a problematic version of Windoze installed, or there is some software being a pain somewhere.
Here are the heat stats of my notebook:

Is airflow restricted? BTX cases can overheat if a damn IDE cable is in the wrong spot.
