So i've been making a new zone, and only me and my roommate can connect. However, other people can download the zone and it appears in green....they just can't connect. I'm on a university connection and I was wondering if that made a difference at all? Any help would be appreciated. Here's the server.ini

Make sure your firewall allows both the game port, and ping port through (ping port is game port + 1). It sounds like you're letting pings go through but blocking game traffic.

Well i tried editing the firewall settings and added exceptions for both port 7000 and 7001...are those the right ones? I guess I'm not exactly sure what the game port is. Anyway, that didn't work. I tried disabling my firewall completely and that still didn't work.

Will it make a difference whether i have localhost or 127.0.0.1 or w/e that is?

So someone is trying to connect outside of your LAN and they can't connect. Since your using a 'university connection' maybe they have a firewall. In that case it would probably be a no go. Ask your server admin.

your port is listed in the .ini as
Port=7000
//Make it something round, like 1000, 2000, etc. Change this if you are running more than one zone off same billing

you can also try changing it to 8000, or something similar.
