I tried using the recorder the other day and I noticed it only updates positions about once every 1/5th of a second, which is not nearly what it should be.
I looked at the source code and I can't figure out why it does this. Does anyone know what the deal is? |

Does your arena only tell the clients to send position packets every 20 ticks? _________________ Hyperspace Owner

Well, I used the default ASSS server out of the box.
But, I've heard from a lot of different people who play HZ that the replays are buggy and messed up. So I just tried it once and looked at the code then came here.
But, after trying the sendposition delay setting at 5 it works rather nicely. Thanks for the help.

HZ consistently uses replays to help make calls in league games, they're definitely not buggy. The only thing people complain about is that the lag conditions are not replicated during the replay. For example, if a spike occurs somewhere on the internet during the recording, it will not show up in the replay. Replays don't replicate the entire state of the internet. _________________ SubSpace Discretion: A Third Generation SubSpace Client |
