Hiyo,
I recently downloaded the NAAP program from smongs post (http://forums.minegoboom.com/viewtopic.php?t=6069&highlight=naap) but i'm having some trouble getting the thing to work.
I followed the steps in the faq and on the help button but my zone still reads zero ping.
I've correctly located the ASSS file, the server.cfg, and my level. I've received no errors and i've corrected all but one warning in the NAAP program: The "Group passwords present in conf\staff.conf." message, which i assume can be ignored since it seems like a security measure and I'm only trying to get my test level up.
I'm currently on a router, so i went to portforward.com, found my router and followed all of their steps to port forwading but i still cannot connect to my little zone.
I'm able to run my zone off the old subgame method, by using the subbill.exe and subgame2.exe, but wanted to give this ASSS thing a shot after reading through posts on these boards.
I've also searched for answers to these question but i still cannot get my zone up. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks |

Add the zone manually in Continuum by clicking "Add Custom...". Give it any name you want, but set the IP to "127.0.0.1" and the Port to whatever # you chose. |

That was the first thing i tried, but when that didn't work i turned to the port forwarding website for a possible solution.
I'm sure it's something little like that, a number somewhere. Maybe something not quite right in the global.conf file or something?

Ha, turns out it was a number discrepancy with the ports. The port number i was using was so large my dyslexia kicked in and I kept typing the second two numbers in reverse order.
Thanks Hak |
