K so, since I can't get anything dev'd cuz everyone is busy with pub and stuff in MG, i've been trying to get my zone up and running to dev., and like a year ago it was running fine being hosted off my comp. I did the port thing and all that junk and it was working fine.
So
Now
It
Won't
Work
for some reason. I've tried messing with the files, like getting a brand new server folder form ssdls and pasting all my server files into it.
It's probably something really minor and dumb but like I said I haven't done this in like a year so I really don't remember how to do much.
I ran the biller and the other thing, etc etc etc, zone is green on my screen with 1 player (bot i guess) but no one can enter it INCLUDING ME (I think it's just not up to date or I messed up a file).
So plz halp.
PS: Computer/ISP/Router/everything is the same as last time I ran it.

What does the subgame console show when you try to enter it?
What does the biller console show when you try to enter it?
What message does Continuum give you when you try to enter it? _________________

on cont says: Failed to connect to server, make sure its green and you're not a tard, etc etc.
After Billing Server Connected, got nothing else.
Subbill is just doing that count thing.

Post your server.ini and subbil.ini (if you have sensitive passwords in there, blank them out)

Aha. You made a typo in your subbill.ini and/or server.ini for the Billing password.
subbill.ini
Quote: | BillingPassword=su12121212 |
server.ini
Quote: | [Billing]
Password=s12121212 |

Hmm, what about... is ServerId, GroupId and ScoreId set in server.ini?
They were my problem...

Configure the correct billing passwords (you probably already did) and set the following:
Quote: | [Billing]
IP=localhost |
(Set the IP to localhost instead of 127.0.0.1)
Everything should work fine then.
I recommend you use Catid's subbil server instead of the default subbil. The default biller eats up CPU resources too much. Catid's version doesn't and has more features (like a ban system and such). You can download catid's here: http://www.mervbot.com/misc.html

Unfortunately it's still doing the same thing. I'll see if catid's works at all, just kinda retarded with this stuff still. The more I mess with things the more I'm remembering how to do, so I dunno. o.O
Thanks for the help Maverick.

Yeah, not doing too good with catid's server thing, kinda struggling to get the one I knew working so I'm not going to be getting that up anytime soon.

Try setting your ScoreID to the same value as your [Misc]: Port _________________ SSE Network Administrator

I've noticed you've set [Comms] Encryptmode=0 . The default server configuration it's set to 1 so this might cause problems (althought I couldn't find a problem when testing my assumption).
Attached is a zip with working zone files. I've taken default server package, added Catid's biller (SSBilling2.exe) and applied your server settings.
Start Catid's biller first, then the zone and then everything should work.
