How do I make it so only a certain ship number can capture the flag and return it to base?

Open template.sss with notepad, and read the description of the values in the Flag section... Everything you need should be there

I looked through all of the flag values. Nothing in that section says anything about limiting ships to capture the flag.

It can't be done from the settings. You would need a bot or use the asss server, where you can add a server-side plugin to restrict which ships can get flags.

BTW I "junked" the duplicate threads incase you're wondering where they went.

or, you could set flagradius=0 in the cfg.
or whatever its called.

cheese, that wouldn't work, because that setting effects ALL ships.

Because if you do ?set blah:blah=blah subgame will add it to the .cfg whether it is a valid setting or not.
