Ok, I am trying to set up FTP and I am sucking right now.

I am using Serv-U because I can't find my windows CD to set up the windows one.

I have ports 21, 22, 1024 forwarded for FTP because I am behind a router. I have tried all of the ports and none of them work with my IP, but they work with the "Any available address".

If anyone knows about Serv-U, when I use my IP address, the Domain won't start. If I use "Any available address" the domain will start but the user cannot stay connected. It "times out"

The Domain type is "Store in .INI file"
Security is Regular FTP only

It's a trial version. The trial version ran out so it turns into personal edition which just means you can only have one server/one domain/5 users etc., just limited.

The settings vary and they look fine, hard to post them here though.

The one thing that is weird is when I change "File Uploads" to "Allow Full Access" it crashes. I don't think that would have anything to do with Serv-u not working, but not 100% sure.

I can take some screenshots of the "settings" but as I said before they look fine. I had someone look at it, he already has FTP setup, and even he was baffled.

Help!

Do you have a dynamic IP address or a static IP address? If you have a dynamic IP address that is probably whats causing the problem.
