Shooting guns immediately after a bomb - which settings?

In Extreme Games zone, we have a few ships that can use their guns immediately after firing a bomb, but they have a BombFireDelay of more than one second.

But mines still have to wait for the BombFireDelay after a bomb is fired.

I can't figure out what setting allows the guns to be used in this way. Any idea?

All the ships have the same LandMineFireDelay, so that setting can't be the culprit.

You did remember to change the ship's bombs to EMPs, correct?

Thanks! That's it - the bombs have to be EMPs for this to happen!

I guess it's this way so that once the EMP stops the recharge, you can finish the ship off before the EMP wears off?
