I finally decided to spend a night dedicated to getting Continuum-wine to work for me. Got that done. Then I used the bandwidth demand to switch from the fwcutter wireless method to using ndiswrapper (much much faster for me). Still one problem. You know how some zones may require you use a lower screen resolution than your native screen resolution? Continuum-wine seems to want to use only my native resolution (1680x1050). In fact, I had to use 915resolution to get that to work with the i810 driver, so we're talking hacks on top of hacks on top of hacks here, so it might be a bit hard to diagnose the source of the problem for someone like me who has never used Wine for anything.
Any ideas?
Although, I discovered it will work on a virtual desktop, but only in windowed mode.

I didn't, but now I do. Nothing changed. The only option for resolution in the profiles is default. I even tried switching from the i810 driver to the intel driver. I'll try restarting X.

I wasn't able to, but I restarted my computer and it showed up.
