regions gone through transfer

I am having problems when i copy a map from my folder, to my hosts folder. when i do that, the map size is the same but all the regions are lost. i'm using the same mapdata for both, but yet when i run my zone on my local host, there are regions. any ideas why this is happening?

Double check that modules.conf is set to use the new mapdata module.
