Hello, I have taken down my firewall and looked around and read this but I have a hub not a router. Also I went to my network places to check to see if I had to allow port forwarding but it didnt show settings so it said that all were open. I have it set up I can join mine but nobody else can :/ This is a problem I heard alot but I still cant seem to fix it

What is the name of your hub?

Go to Start->Run. Type in cmd and hit OK. At the command prompt that opens up, type ipconfig and look for a line like the following:
Code: Show/Hide
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

        Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . : home
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.102
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

Does your IP Address say 216.73.216.208? If so, then you do have a hub. If not, if it says something like 192.168.XXX.XXX, then you are behind a router.

Find the box that your DSL or Cable modem is connected to. It would probably be something like Linksys or Netgear.
