Has anyone ever used these?
Usually 50 DVD-R's sell for like $40+; and a drop to $9 is damn cheap, just wondering if anyone used these DVD's and if so do they work? _________________ X-SSCI Halo CTF Administrator

Lol, I'm sure they're fine. Personally, I never spend more than 15 cents per recordable DVD. You just have to know how to find good deals... and use mail-in rebates, usually. |

How about 25 for $0.99 with no shipping? $10 mail in rebate though. Plus, these are bottom-of-the-barrel quality. |

They send you a specified amount of money in the mail later after you purchase the product. |

Mail in rebate is the bullshit way companies steal money. You pay the total ammount first and are said you will get money back in "THE MAIL" after 8+ weeks, and 80% it isnt the right ammount (usually lower). |

I get the right amount...
If the store doesn't give you back the money they state, then isn't that false advertising? |

I've always gotten the right amount back. They make money off of forgetful people that never send them in. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

Completely true. The one time I didn't get a rebate back in time (go calendar programs to remind me when I should have gotten it by), I called the place and they said something about not having the original UPC or something in there. I said I made a photocopy of it before mailing it in, would they like a copy? Their response was no, they'll send out the check soon. Week later, got my $50 on that rebate. |

Lol, Agurus, don't be paranoid. I've used a ton of mail-in rebates, over 800$ worth. And 5$ of it is all that hasn't come back. I never bothered to look into that one. And yeah, not so much anymore, but in the past I've gotten packs of 50 or 100 CDs for free. Mail-in rebates are certainly not bullshit, they're for people who don't like to throw money away. |

I guess mail-in rebates are US-only, right? Not that I would use it. I usually pay for stuff by credit card. |

What the fuck are you talking about Mav? We have 'mail-in rebates' too, not many manufacturers do it here though.
Remember the clearasil commercial, where you could get 50% of the money back when you bought two bottles of the product? You just had to mail them the coupon.
Remember the Pantène commercial where they told you that you could easily get your money back after just mailing the coupon?
There are more of these things, you just have to look for them a little harder, probably.
Also, how does paying by credit card have anything to do with 'getting your money back'? You could even pay anal and still get your money back. |

Oh ofcourse, indeed, didn't think of it.
Didn't say anything about getting your money back, I only specified what I use when paying on the internet. |
