Server Help

My bot and I are able to get into my zone and it shows up green. But for everyone else it shows up red. I have no clue what's going on and I've asked about 5 other people and they dont seem to know either. Here's zone info if you'd like to see for yourself Zone Name Redemption IP 127.0.0.1 PORT 7200

So what you're saying is basically that IP is basically a unervisal IP to let the owner and only the owner into the zone. Or am I not understanding this? lol. Sorry I'm new to this crap and thought I could use some experience in it.

Thats not your actually IP. Thats localhost in simple terms. go to www.whatismyip.com and then use THAT as your IP. Then it should turn up green

Ok I did that I changed the IP under billing from local host to my IP but now the it wont even connect to the billing server. it will say Attempting to establish link to billing server a couple of times then says Error: Could not connect to billing server then says starting server on stand-alone mode.

No you leave billing on local host. You change the IP in server.cfg to your actual IP

In server.cfg under [Billing], put IP=localhost

Under [Misc] put ServerIP=127.0.0.1

ok in server.cfg there is no [billing] it's like my shipsets my arena settings. There's a misc and why would I put 127.0.0.1 I thought I needed to put my IP not localhost's IP.

Chambahs help me out here you and I go way back WTF am I doing wrong? if I need to put my IP in my .cfg file what do I put it under I see nothing about IP's in there. It's my Esc C in arena. and I've tried putting my IP in serverIP under Misc and localhost under billing my friend still cant get in but I can.

Yeah I went there and quess what. The answer to my question isn't there. I followed that damn thing step by step and no one can get in my zone besides me and my bot. Will someone that really knows what is wrong please reply to this. I got my serverIP under misc set to my ip and IP under billing set to local host and everything that says should be set as same as my port which is 8000. What else needs to be done. Someone mentioned a security issue.

Dude? wtf it works...calm your fucking nerve too. I just downloaded your shit, put it up, and had a pop of 3..so i dont know what the fuck you are talking about lol...the only thing i changed was the ip (so i could host) and the map (since i didnt have yours). So whatever your problem is, it has nothing to do with the files...try to put the default map in server.ini and see if that helps..

Open up the required ports at your router (forward the ports to your machine hosting subgame), bigcheifhitmybong.

Ask the others what those ports are because I don't know and I'm lazy to look those up now

Re-read my post and follow the instructions.
If you don't know how to follow them, say so.

About Chambah's explanation, follow this guide exactly step-by-step instead.

If you have done that, your zone should be working. If it isn't, check these known problems first.

If you still have problems, identify the problem (copy an error message if possible) and search this forum with it.

Only after you have completed these 4 steps you are allowed to post here again.
(Believe me, there are alot of steps I spared you.)
