I have this 1 gb movie, I want to burn on a cd. I have seen some people like split RAR files into many diffrent segments up like part1-5 or so, I was wondering how is this done?

Get 7zip extractor/archiver and it will give you this dialog:

You can put the size you want it split into and everything.

What is the diffrence between 7zip and WinRAR?

And WinRAR has that feature too

I have been using WinRAR for years and havn't paid for it. And it compresses and everything just fine.

I never in my life had heard of someone who paid for WinRAR.
I'm surprised they're still in the bussiness.

WinRAR just keeps prompting you to pay if your lease date expires. I guess they're using the annoyance method.
