Here's my 5th publically released module. It's a ufo module. I made it for testing the possibility of a cloak that doesn't deactivate after firing a weapon. I eventually found this to be a dead end, so I'm releasing the module to the public.
The command /?ufo will toggle a player's UFO status. It's not much more than that, really. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

Is there a way to detect if a weapon is fired and make the arena remember when cloak was or wasn't enabled before the firing?

Yes, but there's no acceptable way to act on that data.

Is it not possible to go in to ASSS's coding and change the way cloaking itself works, and take out the deactivation by weapon fire?

The fact that ASSS doesn't hold that code prevents that. Like most things in SubSpace, it's clientside.

Can't you just lie and send out to other clients that the ship is in fact cloaked.
I'm about to do a lot of that to give hz a lot of control over how the ball works.

Indeed there is a way, but there's no way to let the client know that. All I said in the first post was that UFO is was no help, not that it couldn't be done.

To let others know, if a client is toggled to be a UFO, they will never take damage, ever. This is a client side feature of the UFO and the server cannot change this.

That's not entirely true, but it's close enough to the truth to make UFO worthless for my goals.
