What are the max cores you can have in a zone? I have currently 2 merbot cores, and 1 TW core; the they are all needed b/c they are in seperate arenas (elim, duel etc..)
I heard you can only have a max of 3; which is baloney, and it causes zone to mess up; and why?
Thanks for yoru response! |

I think the three you're talking about is mervbot spawns from a single instance.
The max depends on the connection between the bot server and the game server. _________________ Hyperspace Owner

You can change the maxspawns in the mervbot.ini file. I set mine to 9 or more one time, and I think I had 8-10 spawns in there. _________________ SSE Network Administrator |

You can have unlimited different cores for your zone, same as unlimited spawns of each core.
However, above 5 spawns off a single computer they will have mega-ploss / lag problems due to subgame's bandwith limitations of a single computer.
(The same goes for 5 cores with 1 spawn.)
Put the IP of the computer hosting the bots in server.ini / 'botip' to make sure they don't ploss out. _________________

Yeah, there's really no point in running more than one core at a time. _________________ This help is informational only. No representation is made or warranty given as to its content. User assumes all risk of use. Cyan~Fire assumes no responsibility for any loss or delay resulting from such use.

Why do you need all 3 cores? You can put more than one plugin on one bot. And you can put the plugins on spawned bots. I can understand if you use one merv and one TWcore because they have different plugins, but you don't need two core mervs. |

The only justification I could think of was if one was a stable core and another was a development/testing core but I doubt most people would be doing the kind of development that would require that _________________
