ok I have no idea what exactly your wanting... the way you worded it makes no sence in the english lang-o... You want to host a private zone to test something in? Just use the server.zip and set it up... If you dont want people to connect to it then set it to only allow those names in the permit.txt

Translates to:
No, I want to host it locally on my LAN. So it doesnt go through my router, because it doesnt allow any ports. If i set them open, my ISP blocks it. Also when downloading zones, you need to adjust the download destination from where you download the zones from. I have no clue how. Please help.
Ok buddy, I dont know how to solve for your first problem, but I -think- you should enter this: "sscentral.sscuservers.net sscentral.subspacehq.com sscentral.subspace.net" without the quotes. And put it in your "Directory Server Address List".

Take those servers out of the config then and add a custom zone. If the server is running on the computer you are playing from, add it as 127.0.0.1 For every other computer on your LAN, add it custom with the LAN IP of that computer _________________

Why not just get you OWNER to give you sysop in a private arena #witchie or something like that. Thats all you need for testing plugins...

That's what you get for having zeelandnet.nl as ISP.
He just wants to have a Subgame up on his current computer or his LAN, is that so hard to understand?
When hosting a local zone, you shouldn't even need to open any ports or even have an Internet connection up.
Witchie, attach or post the content of your server.ini and subbill.ini, they probably don't contain what they should contain.
Otherwise, you might just want to start all over again with your server setup.
When the server is functional you should be able to enter it by doing the following:
Solo Ace wrote: | ... add a costum zone in Continuum (go to "Zones" -> "Add Custom...").
The name you give to it doesn't matter, put "127.0.0.1" as the IP address, and the port number as the port the server runs on. |
Meh, I just actually refreshed the thread, seems like I was writing a post in an old browser window.

bout the isp part yes i know it sucks (i hate em, ill call this helpdesk and yell at em as much as i can). but here you got the files (attachments) and about the adding custom part. i did that the good way coz it apears online (with ping graphs) in my zone list.
i will not sencor PW's coz it is hosted LAN anyway.
just in case you need it :P
