I'm making an arena that doesn't use the standard color set, and trying to adjust the on-screen display so that everything is consistent with the feel of the arena. I know that most of that is in colors.bm2, but couldn't find anything that describes what that file actually does. Here's what I figured out, but if anyone has any corrections or can fill in the blanks, please do.

Colors.bm2 is 128x40. The 40 rows each change the color of something different, while going across each row acts as a gradient (in most cases) that repeats about every second. Making the file wider doesn't affect this; the first 128 pixels are used and the rest are ignored.

This is what I figured out each row represents, where I could (G indicates a gradient, and B indicates that just the color of the first bit in the row is used as a static color):

0 G: Background color
1 G: Stat box/radar inside border, dividing lines
2 G: Stat box/radar middle border
3 G: Stat box/radar outside border
4-15: ???
16 G: Stat box background
16 B: Radar background
17 B: Radar grid lines
18 B: Radar wall tiles
19 B: Radar safety tiles
20: ???
21 B: Your goal
22 B: Defend goal
23 G: Radar prizes
24 G: Radar owned flags
25: ???
26 G: Radar powerball
27 G: Radar self with flags
28 G: Radar self normal
29 G: Radar teammate
30 G: Radar team flagger
31 G: Radar enemy flagger
32: ???
33 G: Radar enemy high bounty
34 G: Radar enemy low bounty
35 G: Radar bombs/mines
36 G: Radar decoy
37 G: Radar bomb impact
38-39: ???

I would guess that 4-15 are just reserved and not used, and possibly also 38 and 39, with 20, 25, and 32 having some meaning I just haven't figured out. Maybe 25 has something to do with turf flags? I didn't test it, but that could be .. anyway, feel free to add to this or correct it
