Ive checked on ssdownloads.com and over this board and havnt had much luck with what I'm looking for..unless i missed something. I am hoping there is a program out there that does this anyway. I need a program to convert an entire map to an image file. FACTS is not what I am looking for, it gives me essentially a "map" view of it. I need the whole 16384x16384 deal.

Why do I need this? I plan on using photoshop once I have the image and overlaying images over appropriate tiles...painting a picture over them more like it. Then discecting it and putting it in chunks into a LVZ. This is why I dont really want to do it with PrintScreen or screenshots from SSME, because if the pixels are off it will be reflected in the map.

I realize the size of the file would be astronomical, assuming its bmp.

If anyone has any info which could enlighten me, it would be greatly appreciated.

256 megs, if bmp.

Yes, you're probably best off writing your very own map->bmp converter.

Beware of the goal and flag tiles.

Why not just get chunks of the map in the first place?

I resize the "map" view from FACTS 16 times in photoshop, and to avoid the resampling (and smoothing), I convert it to Index color before resizing.

BTW, you could have simply asked me on chat Chalk, hey there biggrin.gif
BTW2: is there any uber chat channel with gentlemen like MineGoBOOM, SuSE, Mr.Ekted, Bak, 2dragons,... on? So I can have my little dream to be invited there some happy day. icon_wink.gif

If you're using Photoshop, in the Image Size box, there's a dropdown for Resample: iirc, just use nearest neighbor instead of bicubic.

Ok I admit that I just got officially schooled... LOL
Yeah of course, nearest neighbour, just as the name implies... sigh me, and I'm using these tools for a job!
