Is there an AI (Artificial Intelligents) bot around here? I'm trying to find a bot where it can follow you and shoot you and act similar to a normal player. Zones such as Battlefield 1942 use to have one of those. If theres one of these bots/plugins available, can you post the link or file? |

I don't think there are any available for the "masses", anyway, check this, this and this thread for more info.
I didn't read those threads, and I'm not sure who said it, but I remember someone made this point:
You shouldn't need bots to act like players, players are supposed to play, not bots.
I actually thought that was a good one, and good zones won't need to "make up" players since they'd get enough human players. |

Yes, i've seen his bot. He's the creator of the one in Battlefield 1942... I'd try ask Death+ for his Gundam Wing AI-Bot, but somewhere in these forums, he already said he wouldnt share the bot with anyone. If anyone has this bot or has a link or any source what so ever, please post.
Thanks,
Liquid Mercury |

It would seem awkward to go up to someone and ask for their bot in the middle of a game...
Heres a prediction...
Liquid Merc> hey can i have your bot?
Qndre> Who the hell are you?
Liquid Merc> Someone who needs an AI Bot
Qndre> No you can't have it.
Liquid Merc> damn... =( |

Look at the posts made by Qndre on the forum. You will have a fun time at his expense as well as realise that Solo Ace was kidding. _________________ This help is informational only. Liquid Merc> hey can i have your bot?
Qndre> What bot?
Liquid Merc> Someone told me you have an AI Bot
Qndre> It's written in BASIC because I can't program in C++. It's not finished yet, but when it's done it will be smart enough to mix drinks and run small countries with only the processing power of a 386 (that's a type of processor, stupid person). It also uses UDP with my own handshaking protocol so as to be more efficient than TCP, though I don't know why it doesn't work.

This is somthing that just came to my mind while is school but what if someone could take the encrypted bot built into subspace. That AI bot is flawless only bad thing if you have to hack or somthing into subspace. I dont kno why no one would do this in the sence that subspace has died and a AI bot isent built into continuum (wich it should be). Somone should really think about doing this. |

Those are less complicated to make, because the physics engine is already implemented. You also don't have to worry about multiple targets or lag issues. |

If anyone can think of a formula/algorithm of some sort for making a bot overturn so the thrust gets it on its desired path sooner, I'll add it to my plugin. |

the bf and gw bot is the same plugin.
at the risk of sounding selfish, the reason I don’t just give out the drone plugin is it would cause subspace’s total population to jump from around 2000 to 10,000, and not in the good way. After ever noob throws 100 of them in his zone because it sucks to bad for normal players, i'm sure you'd all hate my guts. Don’t give me that look… you know it's true.
Anyways, i think only tw is allowed to have 150+ bots in sub |

Ya your very much right on that one... The subspace pop would be out of control and you wouldent be able to tell a fake from a real player. |

Yeah, I saw a local zone up with 5 people (or so it seems) in it. It seemed that they were silenced bots. I came to know this when the owner said he was going to recycle, and then all the 'players' just popped in and I was able to say cmds to it. |
