Server Help

First I went through the first faq...showed up red...so i went through weavil's faq...showed up red. Weavil made my server work once to supplement RRC but i have since formatted and now...it doesnt work. Please help me PLEASE.

after four hours of talking with such helpful people as 7<illerII, Purge+, Confess+, AltecSS, TeHsU, ... and some other people I can't quite remember ... it now works!!! woot

Routers suck, that's why I moved my zone to a devo server.

i have followed shanky server help step by step and subbil and subgame2 connect but so then i download my zone to my list and my zone shows up as red on my zone list

I assume that you're running both the biller and server on your computer, so all you have to do is!.............

o wait, you still want to know what to do? Ok, then follow these steps:

Open continuum..........

click the "zones" button

then click the "Add custom..." button

then put in any name that you want, it doens't really matter....i usually, cleverly enough, call it "my zone"

for the zone ip put 127.0.0.1

and then put in whatever port you got it set on........

those aren't the greatest instructions ever, but i'm in a hurry...so enjoy

ok so i have it so the zone apears green when i add custom zone but then it doesnt let me sign into the zone ...and if it is a custom zone will other ppl see it ont he list?

Ok first off they usally are all green when they come up then they turn red so that is probably you problem.

My guess is that you are behind a router(again). Read Weavil's router faq/sticky at the top of the General Questions section.

ok i have my zone working because i added it as a custom zone but does this mean that nobody sees my zone on the zone list until they add it as a custom zone?

is there anyway to save me as a sysop so i dont need to put in the password everytime i login?

Just turn it into a auto In the Continuum-Menu->View->Profiles is a field Auto

Just type *(password) it will log it the second you come in the game.

About the custom zone I don't know but I highly doubt it I think your router isn't broadcasting to the internet. If someone wants to step in and help have fun.
